As your preferred lender, Caliber Wholesale would like to share insights into an upcoming change affecting the mortgage industry.

You may know that the Uniform Residential Loan Application Form (Form 1003) is being redesigned by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Recently, the agencies made more updates to Form 1003 to streamline the process and create a more consumer-friendly experience.

GSEs also created a corresponding Uniform Loan Application Dataset (ULAD) and new automated underwriting system specifications for submissions to DU® and LPA®

Mandate for the New Form 1003

The redesigned Form 1003 will be required for loans with applications on or after March 1, 2021. There is one exception; files that were started using the traditional Form 1003 and associated automated underwriting systems (AUS) may proceed with the traditional 1003.

Our Commitment

As the date of implementation has approached, Caliber Wholesale will continue to provide our Business Partners more details of application changes, and reference materials to help you navigate changes in H2O and beyond.
